A zebra-designed dog joins its masters at the beach near Sta. Ana wharf on Easter Sunday. It’s been a tradition of Filipinos to celebrate the Easter Sunday at the beach, which is also the end of the Holy Week.

This a story about a passenger and an Army solider at the bus terminal in Ecoland, Davao City. This is not a fairy tale story nor a fable. Maybe, fable in some ways because there are characters in this story who are animals in their own way.

Sundalo: “Abi, dalha na dire bag mo.”

Traveler: “Sir, camera na ha?” (Pina bira gamay ug mejo di maayo paggunit sa bag)

Sundalo: “Buy-i ba kay tanawon ko!” (mejo taas boses)

While most of the photojournalists put card readers, extra batteries, cleaning cloth, USB cables and camera accessories in their pouches, for me you can’t just find these stuff in G-Pouch. I also have little things in my pouch that could make me feel HIGH once I take it. It makes me HIGH and DRY, which means I need to rest. So lemme know if you wanna ride with me!

Ay, wala takon specialty ah. Ambot sa inyo da. Si Benjo sikat sikat na gid karon sa internet kag sa maski diin nga online forum. Grabe gid ka sikat si Benjo. Ti, ano bala? Damo gid tao sa kalibutan nga bored kag gina lingaw man nila ang mga bored. Daw ikaw man bords, bored ka man siguro da amo na nga basa mo man ni blog ko maski di ka kaintindi ilonggo. Gusto ko man tani butang dire ang ang video ni Benjo Kag ang Batalyon Pitbull. Pero di ko man gid abi specialty ning wordpress, ti indi ko kabalo magbutang sang youtube video dire. basi may ara makabasa sini nga specialty mo “tinkering wordpress’ codes, ” email man ko or replay comment dire kag tudlui ko bords ha.

Some of my friends — Bisaya friends — also tried to swallow dialog of the Ilonggo videos. Although they cannot really understand the dialog, they’d still laugh. Ti, sin-o buang sa ila, ang nagbuhat sang video or sila nga gakadlaw wala sila kaintindi ano gina wakal sa video?. Ti, sige a. Mabakal pa ko chorizo ni Tonton.

Ruby left Sophie with me on Sunday because she went to Malagos for the Flight of the Eagles event. Since Sophie is in my pigeon hole, she has a little room to run and jump. So she just had  to play whatever she could find under my bed or anything that she feels like a toy for her.

On lunchtime, I prepared soup bones for her. She was apparently starving as she was waiting in front the stove until it’s cooked. She won’t eat pretty big chunks, as other dogs do. So I had to cut them into small pieces before giving them to her. When she was done with the meat, she grabbed the biggest bone left, little bigger than her bones in the leg.

A mysterious package arrived this morning in our office. It’s addressed to me. But what’s inside remains a mystery. I was told that it’s for Ruby. The package looked like a box of tuna but it’s from Manila… I will not reveal what’s in that box. Just visit her new blog in the next few days and see for yourself what’s the package is all about.
