DSLR vs Sophie

Published by kitoy at 7:23 pm under Humour, Photography, Sophie

Ruby left Sophie with me on Sunday because she went to Malagos for the Flight of the Eagles event. Since Sophie is in my pigeon hole, she has a little room to run and jump. So she just had  to play whatever she could find under my bed or anything that she feels like a toy for her.

On lunchtime, I prepared soup bones for her. She was apparently starving as she was waiting in front the stove until it’s cooked. She won’t eat pretty big chunks, as other dogs do. So I had to cut them into small pieces before giving them to her. When she was done with the meat, she grabbed the biggest bone left, little bigger than her bones in the leg.

UsuallySophie is “camera shy,” as we call it. She refuses to be photographed. She would run, hide or turn away her head from the lens. She can recognize the camera, even phones with camera. But this time, she wasn’t able to hide, because she was busy with the bone.

It’s very rare for us to capture the face of Sophie. Sometimes, to be able to get a photo of her face, we would hold her then a quick click. Otherwise, she would turn away her head or she would hide.  In the past, t’was very frustrating to take a good shot of her using Point and Shoot digital cameras. But with our DSLR, she has no escape.
